Super excited about this film by Jack Manning Bancroft and Tyson Yunkaporta. Hoping to see a showing in NSW soon.
I would love to watch this! I’ve heard of it before, too. I wonder if and where we could organise a showing.
I know Esther Lane as a venue in Sydney is great for this kind of thing.
I believe @mikeyleung is keen to get some film events happening for this community!
Hi crew, I held a screening with this film already and likely believe that the AIME crew would allow me to do another one, also as a fundraiser. It’s a wild film that bounces through a lot of relational themes and is a pretty fun watch.
A friend of mine has also suggested we screen Kanyini as well, so I’m happy to organise films that provide portals into First Nations thinking as well as stories that support “The Better World Our Hearts Know Is Possible” to quote Charles Eisenstein.
I would love to get a collaborator going within this community as what I find I lack is the time to mobilise the crowd – but I can provide the venue and the infrastructure to make the screenings happen, and hopefully a bit of revenue definitely helps me keep my unique space going. I’ll need that in order to sustain my support.
So, can I get a collaborator to work with more closely to host a screening and rally the troops? I can then reach out to the AIME crew and propose a date.
