The awesome duo at Happen Films, have a new doco, The New Peasants making it’s way around Australia. They’ve screening dates on their website, and we have a screening coming up at Narara at the end of the month – see the Events page.
Heya I’d like to do some film screenings at my place. Someone has reached out recently for the film the cost of growth. Future council sounds great too. I’ll post here about what I get going next at impact story lab. Be great to hear if there was interest here for that from the group.
Back on this, I would be happy to host a screening of Future Council for a community group, and bring my families network to that. Host a Screening of Future Council • Regenerators – here’s the latest info from Regen Labs. I’ve applied for a screening in March.
I reached out to the Regenerators team and it’s about $500 to host a screening based on me hosting it. I don’t know if there’s another way to apply that would help save this cost, but unfortunately that is not really worth us hosting it with the venue size we’ve got here. Better to put it at a theatre it seems. I’d do it, but again, the work of mobilising enough people to cover costs is something I can’t do alone, so I need a collaborator to do these kinds of things with.
Mikey! Are you familiar with Esther Lane, in Sydney? They are looking at doing things like this, with an expression of interest to host a premiere for Leviathan!
I am running an event with them in March so have been chatting with the curator. I could chat to her at some point!
I am on tour all of March and so don’t have a great deal of capacity, but I can at least reach out to a venue and I would be keen to attend, too - though perhaps not in March!
I wonder if they might also want support to help with the Leviathan screening - I could put you in touch?
